Meenakshi Academy of Higher Education and Research, Chennai currently only offers Merit-based scholarships but soon MAHER Chennai scholarships will be available for students who do not have financial support to continue or pursue higher education at the institute. Meenakshi scholarship is now available for the eligible students and the MAHER Chennai scholarships will also be offered to the eligible students.

99 — Rs 50,000/- Sports Quota (only for students who represented State/National Team) — Rs 2,50,000 This scholarship is only available for MBBS and BDS students based on their NEET score. Meenakshi Scholarship Eligibility Criteria Students with a single parent who have an make less than Rs 1,00,000 annually. Students whose parents are ex-servicemen – personnel and served in Defence Forces of any cadre.
Students who belong to SC/ST Category with 60% or more marks in the qualifying examination regardless of the board. Students who will be the first graduates in their family. Students who won in Intercollegiate / State / Regional / National / International level Co- Curricular / extracurricular events (scientific / sports / culturals / literary / Fine arts events) in past academic years.
Students with an overall score of 60% or more in last academic year/semester exams. This scholarship was recently offered to students and can be filled out at the official website for a limited period of time.
MAHER Chennai Scholarships Eligibility Criteria Students who secured 60% or more marks in the qualifying exam regardless of the board(for students who do not belong to SC/ST category) SC/ST category students who obtained 60% or more marks in qualifying exams irrespective of the board. Children with a single parent that earn less than Rs 1,00,000 per year.
Children of ex-servicemen – personnel who served in Defence Forces in any cadre. Students whose parents are employees at MAHER Chennai. Students who are siblings of MAHER Chennai alumnus. Candidates who will become first graduates in their family. Students who are physically challenged MAHER Chennai alumnus who are applying for post graduation.
