Girijyothi College, Idukki is an affiliated college established in the year 2015 in Kerala at Cheruthoni, Vazhathope, Idukki Colony P. O. This is a private university located in a 5 acre compound to offer undergraduate and post graduate degrees in commerce and economics. Girijyothi College offers a child-centred approach to learning with a total student enrolment of 254 students and faculty of 14 teachers.

The college at present has four complete full-time degree courses in three different degree levels aimed at economics, financial and computer applications study. Several facilities that are available add value to the learning process in Girijyothi College. As the academic centre of the Institute, it has a library with more than 5 000 books and free access to numerous journals.

Co-curricular activities include athletics track, basketball and volleyball courts, Shuttle enclosed badminton court, Football field & a Cricket pitch. The IT infrastructure includes a well-equipped computer lab with 40 networked PCs, operating from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm daily. In addition, the principal coliseum of the college can hold a thousand persons and is employed in numerous operations.

Boys as well as girls are availing hosteling all possible requirements for the students who hails from distant places for living purposes. Also provided by the college are transport facilities, while the college also has a section that houses a health centre that provides first aid to the students. This institution has a total of four programmes on offer and all of these are full time programmes.
