Dharumapuram Gnanambigai Government Arts College for Women, Nagapatinam was started in the year 1967, situated at Mayiladuthurai, Tamilnadu being one of the pioneer institutions in the field of higher education. This affiliated college is located in a 14 acres of land only for women and the college offers quality education for women only.

Recognized by the NAAC, the college provides 36 different combinations of the subject across 7 degree programs. At present, the institute has a total of 2304 students and the faculty strength of 149, thus ensuring a good number of students per faculty.
