College of Engineering, Trikaripur (CET) is a self-financing, autonomous college established in the year 2000. This engineering college is situated in Cheemeni, Kasaragod district of Kerala and has slowly and steadily posited itself as an institute providing quality technical education. CET occupies a rather large plot of 25 acres and provides 766 students with a rather colourful learning experience.
The college is established and operates with a high quality standard with accreditations from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) & approval from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). CET has 29 dedicated professionals in its faculty that enables us to maintain a healthy student faculty ratio that helps us pay attention to individual progress and achievement.
It has over 202326 technical books in various fields of engineering discipline and national/international journals are subscribed. Such learning aids as a digital library containing updated collections of CDs also contribute to student learning. Many common areas on the campus are Wi-Fi enabled to facilitate internet connection to the users.
CET also has packed up laboratories for each department such as Advanced Communication Lab, Digital Systems Lab, and Microprocessor Lab to provide actual exposure of the students to their specific domains. College of Engineering, Trikaripur operate four full time B. Tech courses to fulfill the engineering dreams of students.
This includes civil engineering , computer science and engineering, electrical and electronics engineering as well as electronics and communication engineering. Overall student intake for all courses offered is 300 while the most number of intakes in Computer Science & Engineering is 120.
All the programmes are four years in duration and are offered as full-time courses intended to develop in the students a sound understanding of the principles of engineering and on the practical application of the knowledge. College of Engineering, Trikaripur follow Kerala Engineering Architecture & Medical (KEAM) test by the Government of Kerala as the main criterion for admission.
Based on the entrance rank the Chief Entrance Commissioner places merit and management students through an online counseling system. The distribution of the seats is a little formal with 50% of the seats being free, 35% being managerial seats while there are 15% for NRI students who are admitted based on merit.
The transparent and merit-based admission system make it a noble cause of providing out deserving candidates from all backgrounds a chance to peruse an engineering degree from CET. The college also accepts the scores of B. Arch for relevant programmes which must be noticed by aspiring students to open up new avenues.
Lack of information about scholarship is apparent, however the college’s COD dedication to education is clear through the numerous programmes and services that supports student’s growth and success.
