Ananda College, Devakottai

Ananda College, Devakottai, was set up in the year 2004, is an affiliated college situated in the Sivagangai District, Tamil Nadu. This university currently has recognition from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), thus promoting quality education within this institution of further learning.

Located in a vast area of 15 square acres, Ananda College provides 18 courses from 9 degree programmes according to students’ preferences. According to the latest enrolment, there are 1,106 students enrolled in the college while there are 59 faculty members, and so the ratio of students to a faculty member is favourable in order to provide individual attention.

Ananda College has several installations meant to complement the learning process in the institution. The students get an added advantage of being able to practise and learn with first-rate laboratories in specific areas. College library is one of the key institutional benefactors of knowledge and learning, as it offers a variety of academic material.

Ananda College provides all types of degrees for students, including undergraduate and postgraduate degrees.

The CPI currently offers 18 full-time programmes in different fields such as Mathematics, Commerce, Computer Applications, Business Administration, English, Tamil, Physics, Chemistry and Social Work, etc. At the undergraduate level, some of the most chosen subjects are B. Sc. Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Computer Science; B. Com. , BCA, BBA and B. A. English and Tamil .

At the postgraduate level the college provides M. Sc. in Mathematics, Chemistry and Computer Science; MA in English Literature; and MSW and M. Com. in Computer Applications. Admission to Ananda College is extended easily, and thus the college follows a very simple admission procedure. Currently, this college provides numerous programmes and services orientated towards creating a plural environment for learning.

Ananda College also has an alumni base that serves to keep ex-students connected as well as being useful in getting employment for them through networking.
