Amal Jyothi College of Engineering, Kottayam is an autonomous college founded in 2001 in Kanjirappally, Kottayam District of Kerala. Situated in a 63 acre land, AJCE is accredited by NAAC and NBA and recognized by AICT Из٬ College presently has 38 programmes across 4 levels and includes 3,146 students and 233 faculty members.

The distribution of male and female students in AJCE is reasonable; the male students take 66% of undergraduates, and the remaining 34% are female students, while 38% of postgraduate students are male, and 62% are female. These include facilities, which include a set of state of the art facilities for the use of AJCE students. The campus also has well equipped laboratories, a well stocked library and state-of-art I.

Tech, MCA, MCA Integrated , and various doctoral programmes. Graduate programmes such as M. Tech are limited in their ISE for Intake mostly coming in between 9-24 for different specialisations.

The MCA programme has got a large absorption capacity of 120 seats. The admission requirements of AJCE are mainly measured through entrance tests, the major admission criteria are entrance tests. For, B. Tech programmes, the candidates must pass the Kerala Engineering Architecture & Medical Examination (KEAM) which is conducted by the commissioner of entrance examinations, Government of Kerala. M.

Tech programmes generally have limitation that the admission is only open for the candidates with valid GATE scores for this, sponsored candidates may be exempted. In case of remaining vacant, these posts may be filled by the candidates without having the GATE scores. LBS conducts the Kerala MCA Entrance Examination through which 50% of the students in MCA programme are admitted.

Amal Jyothi College of Engineering offers a number of scholarships to support merit students as well as economically weaker section students. According to statistics given, a healthy percentage of students receive financial assistance: In respect of Undergraduate (UG) courses: Out of 2,557 students, 97 are reimbursed or provided with financial assistance.
