VM Salgaocar College of Law, Miramar

VM Salgaocar College of Law is one of the renowned colleges in Goa and thus is governed by the norms published by Goa University. The college was also established in 1973. The college was previously known as Mahadevrao Salgaocar College of Law, but after it was renamed in honour of Vassudev M. Salgaocar who was a Philanthropist.

The college is recognised by the Bar Council of India (BCI), where it offers a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and research programmes in the legal domain. VMSCL Miramar provides full-time law programmes including BA LLB (5 years), LLB (3 years), LLM in Constitutional and Administrative Law, and a PhD in Labour Laws and Labour Welfare.

Since the college is affiliated to Goa University , the college also offers PhD programmes in law under Goa University. Admissions to the courses offered at VM Salgaocar College of Law are merit-based, with selection criteria differing by programme. For the integrated and 3-year LLB courses, selection is based on qualifying exam performance.
