University Institute of Technology Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya is one of the renowned engineering institutions in Madhya Pradesh. Originally was named as Government Engineering College (GEC) Bhopal. But afterwards, in the year 2025 was declared autonomous and subsequently renamed as UIT RGPV. The institute is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), recognised by UGC.
RGPV has been accredited with an 'A' grade by NAAC and is known as the State Technological University of Madhya Pradesh.
