TIPS was recognised in the year 2009, is one of the leading health science institutions situated at Hapania, Tripura. This affiliated college recognised by the Indian Nursing Council (INC) proposes extensive categories of paramedical and nursing course. TIPS is located on a campus of 6. 43 acres and teaches 1,291 students and has 12 faculty members.
Courses Offered: It offers Nine 9 courses in Five accredited degree programmes in fields of paramedical such as nursing, physiotherapy, medical laboratory technology, and hospital management. TIPS is a commitment to offer an all-round learning opportunity to students.
This institute has all the modern amenities to include well-proportioned biochemistry lab, histopathology lab, hematological lab and a well stocked physics lab. These labs are intended to provide real, hands-on testing opportunities to students enroled in the educational programme . The common library acting as information centre consists of books, reference and allied materials in healthcare and allied sciences.
In a bid to ensure that the students gain well rounded education, TIPS continues to provide sports amenities and a sports hall that enables the student to gain both books and sports talents. The institute has a total of 9 courses and all are the full time courses available at the institute.
These include a Bachelor of Nursing Sciences, Bachelor of physiotherapy, Bachelor of hospital management and other paramedical graduate programmes. Total approved intake for all courses is 480 students per year.
Although information regarding the graduation figures for the current academic year is lacking, the institute’s total student strength stands at 1291 students proving the fact that there is a strong and healthy student community throughout the courses of study.
