Sri Nandhanam College of Engineering and Technology, Vellore

Sri Nandhanam College of Engineering and Technology (SNCET), set up in 2001, is affiliated with Vellore in Tamil Nadu. Apart from being accredited with AICTE, SNCET is located on a large site of 16 acres and offers numerous engineering and management courses. The institute is affiliated with the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and is deservedly popular in its efforts to advance technical education.

With a total strength of 31 students and a faculty of 104, SNCET takes ample care in providing a congenial atmosphere. The college has designed 11 courses under 4 Courses/programmes, namely B. Tech/B. Tech (Hons), MCA & MBA with different specialisations in engineering, MCA, MBA, etc. Affiliated with Anna University , Chennai.

Sri Nandhanam College of Engineering and Technology is built with great infrastructure to fulfil students’ needs. The college library is an air-conditioned building occupying a built-up area of 9060 sq meters, stocked with more than 24038 volumes and 9492 distinct titles, as well as 285 subscriptions to international and national journals.

In general, the digital library serves the undergraduate students as well as the postgraduate students who can be admitted at once and who total more than 150. Sport-loving students get various sports facilities in SNCET, in which the college also motivates the students to take part in games & athletic meets.

The capabilities of the IT department are also high; there are high-performance servers and workstations that allow students to get the newest IT for education. The institute has a vast number of courses for its students, such as 8 undergraduate engineering, 2 postgraduate engineering, MCA, MBA, etc. All the programmes offered during the day are full-time. The BE/B. Tech courses are of four years' duration.

The ME and all the management programmes are of two-year duration. The aggregate intake capacity recognised for all the courses put together is 578, and there are sufficient vacancies for wishful learners. Here also, SNCET facilitates a variety of courses to be offered in various fields of engineering and technology so that one can have their own area of specialisation.

In the case of the undergraduate engineering programmes, the criteria for admissions are CEETA-PG, also termed the Common Engineering Entrance Test and Admission.

MCA and MBA after BCA and BBA, respectively, admit students based on scores in the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test ( TANCET ). The college also considers scores in other relevant entrance tests, which makes it possible to have a diversified, competent student population.
