Sir Issac Newton College of Engineering and Technology (SINCET) is a self-financing college which was started in the year 2010 at Nagapattinam, Tamil Nadu. This AICTE-affiliated college provides various engineering courses on a campus spread over 10 acres of land.
SINCET takes a total of 786 students, while it has a faculty and staff strength of 8,5, and the institute creates a fit environment for technical education. The institute was offering 12 courses at two different degree levels, and it was focusing on core engineering branches such as Mechanical, Electronics & Communication, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence & Data Science, Agriculture Engineering, etc.
The college is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and is permanently affiliated with Anna University , Chennai. It has been accredited with a B++ grade by NAAC and has autonomous status granted by the UGC. The library, which occupies an area of 1800 square meters, has over 11589 publications and offers access to 229 domestic and international journals and magazines. It also provides institutional membership in DELNET so as to extend enhanced access and use of the resources. For sports lovers, SINCET has a garden space available with adequate sports facilities for various field and court games.
Amenities in this college consist of its facilities, such as a CPU laboratory that contains a seating capacity of 60 students with broadband connection and LCD projectors. The hostel accommodation for both boys and girls is available with spacious rooms having comfortable bunk beds, round-the-clock electricity supply and recreation halls.
Also available on the campus are a special canteen selling healthy foods, a 1000-seater reception hall and emergency first aid treatment facilities. At present, Sir Issac Newton College of Engineering and Technology provides courses in a total of 12 streams, comprising undergraduate and postgraduate courses. BE/B .
Tech programmes are being offered for undergraduate students mainly in full-time disciplines, and ME programmes are offered for postgraduate students in specialised fields. The admission process of Sir Issac Newton College of Engineering and Technology is pretty much non-clumsy and is easily understandable.
For the undergraduate programmes, the college accepts the Common Engineering Entrance Test and Admission ( CEETA- PG ), and the following faculties also charge admission fees. This exam is a qualifying exam for those who want to study engineering at the institute.
