Shree Thakur Ji Maharaj Mahavidyalaya has been affiliated and is active since 2009 located in Oonchgaon Qila, Purwa, Unnao District, Uttar Pradesh. It is a co-educational college situated on an extent of 2. 095 acres of area and is recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).

There are two full time courses offered in education by the college and from a total student capacity of 300 in the courses, there are 8 members of faculty. Among the available resources,g. Shree Thakur Ji Maharaj Mahavidyalaya has several amenities that are intended to improve the student learning process. Being a key source of academic materials the library fulfills requirements of NCTE for D. El.

Ed faculty and university criterion for Faculty of Arts. It has a rich book reservoir including different national and international journals and renowned magazines, having independent reading room for accommodating forty students. The Psychology Lab which is an incessant part of the Faculty of Education has all the required apparatus for conducting the D. El. Ed course and is in the process of getting updated.

Likewise, the Science Lab is in compliance with the NCTE norms, and has all the practical facilities available. For physical development, the college has been provided with indoor and outdoor sport complexes. The institution also established modern IT facilities, event and seminar hall, health check-up centre with first aid, and guest house for faculties and students’ parents and visiting faculties.

Shree Thakur Ji Maharaj Mahavidyalaya offers two courses . The courses are Diploma in Elementary Education (D. El. Ed) and Bachelor of Education (B. Ed). Both programmes are regular programmes that take two years of study to complete. The college has an authorised admission limit of one hundred students per each course and two hundred overall for the two programmes.

These are offered to students to help them gain skills needed in teaching and training profession in line with the college motto of training teachers. At Shree Thakur Ji Maharaj Mahavidyalaya, admission is granted strictly on merit, the performance in the qualifying as well as the entrance test.
