SBD Government College, Churu, affiliated to Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati University Ajmer was established in 1960 in Sardarshahr, Rajasthan. This co-educational college is part of the state university system and has been functioning as a place of education for more than six decades. Stretched over 17.

9 acre land the college offers an overall strength of 7905 students along with a strong Teaching Staff of 12 members. Students willing to pursue an undergraduate degree programme have options in the Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Commerce (B. Com) and the Bachelor of Science (B.

Sc) They can choose either Bio Group or Mathematics Group. At postgraduate level, college offers Master of Arts (MA) in Hindi, Jainology, Political Science, Geography, Public Administration as well as Master of Science (M. Sc) in Physics, Botany, Chemistry (Self-Finance), Zoology (Self-Finance).

These are mostly full time on campus programmes which aim at training and preparing professional with in-depth knowledge and practical expertise in certain specified areas. The admission procedure of SBD Government College, Churu is very formal and a little information about it is mentioned but it is clear that admission is very much merit based and are open for all.
