Sarvajanik College of Engineering and Technology Surat is a privately recognised college that was established in 1995 and approved by AICTE, New Delhi. SCET Surat offers various programmes at the undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels in different streams. SCET Surat UG, PG and doctoral courses include B. E/ B. Tech , M. E/ M. Tech , MCA and Ph. D.

Courses at the SCET Surat are offered in various streams that include engineering and architecture, computer application, Textile, Electronics and IT. Admissions to SCET Surat are based on the merit of the entrance exam. The Department of Training and Placement cell offers a holistic service that includes career advice, higher education guidance, pre-placement preparation, and placement assistance.

SCET Surat has been accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). SCET Surat has also obtained accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) for its laboratories. Sarvajanik College of Engineering and Technology, Surat offers various scholarships for needy students with consideration of merit as well as the financial condition of the student. SCET Surat scholarship is classified into three categories that include Government Scholarships, Assistance from Community and Bank Loans, and scholarships offered by private firms.

Government scholarships include the Pragati scheme for girls, the Honorable Chief Minister Scholarship Scheme, Gujarat, Central Sector Scholarship Scheme, and scholarships for minorities. The Late Mrs Chandravatiben Yashvantlal Kaji Scholarship and the Share and Care Foundation- Loan Scholarship are community-assisted scholarships.

Private firms also offer scholarships such as the ISA PMCD scholarship and CMS Limited for economically challenged (SC/ST) students. The college provides assistance for the scholarship of SC/ST/OBC and minority students from the Social Justice and Empowerment Department of the Government of Gujarat and the Government of India.

The family income should not be more than Rs. 8 LPA per annum. Eligible candidates are selected based on their merit at the qualifying examination.

Saksham Scholarship for specially-abled student Rs. 30,000 per annum Specially abled candidates with disability not less than 40% admitted for any diploma / undergraduate courses from any of the AICTE-approved colleges are eligible. The family income should not be more than Rs. 8 LPA per annum. Eligible candidates are selected based on their merit at the qualifying examination.

Honourable Chief Minister Scholarship Scheme, Gujarat 50% fee reimbursement and other allowances Candidates from SC/ST and EBC from Gujarat admitted for any diploma / undergraduate courses from any of the AICTE-approved colleges are eligible. The family income should not be more than Rs. 4. 50 LPA per annum. Eligible candidates must have 60% in the class 10 or class 12 examination from an approved board.

Central Sector Scholarship Scheme Candidates who pursue a 3 years undergraduate degree receive a yearly scholarship of Rs. 12,000. For those who enrol in a five-year integrated program, the yearly scholarship is about Rs. 20,000 during the final two years of study. For B. tech candidates will get a scholarship amount of Rs. 12,000 for the first 3 years and Rs. 20,000 for the final year.

The family income should not be more than Rs. 4. 50 LPA per annum. Eligible candidates must have 80 percentile in the 10 + 12 examination from an approved board. Post Matric Scholarship for minority community Rs. 3000 per annum is awarded to students for admission and tuition fees. For Ph. D which is around Rs. 1200 for hostellers and Rs. 550 for day scholars.

Candidates must have 50% aggregate in the previous final examination from an approved board. The family income should not be more than Rs. 2. 00 LPA per annum. Late Mrs Chandravatiben Yashvatlal Kaji Scholarship - The scholarship is awarded to a candidate who has secured admission to the First year B. E. Electrical programme.
