The Royal School of Engineering and Technology, popularly known as RSET, was established in the year 2009 under the aegis of Royal Global University, Guwahati. The campus of RSET is spread over a vast area of 5. 92 acres and has turned out to be one of the prominent engineering institutes in Northeastern India.

With the present student enrolment of 207 and a faculty strength of 25, RSET has continued to maintain a very favorable student-faculty ratio, ensuring that the pupils get personal attention and quality education. RSET has a long list of facilities that help in enhancing the learning experience and holistic development of a student.

The campus is fully fitted with well-stocked laboratories for practical training, a comprehensive library updated with the latest resources, and modern IT infrastructure that assists in carrying out digital learning initiatives. It also has sports facilities and a gymnasium to support the overall development of the students.

The campus is provided with separate boys' and girls' hostels, which offer comfortable accommodation to the outstation students. There is an on-campus cafeteria that caters to all kinds of dietary needs within the RSET community. At the same time, there is also provided an auditorium as a venue for many types of events and seminars.

There is also a medical facility that provides first-aid services in the institute as a part of keeping better concern about student's health. Moreover, RSET arranges transportation facilities with a fleet of air-conditioned buses to help students and staff commute from various parts of the city.

RSET offers a wide range of courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels, covering almost every branch of interest in the field of engineering. All in all, the institute offers 20 different courses, including full-time B. Tech and M. Tech programs. The B. Tech programs include basic principal fields like Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering.

At RSET, the postgraduate courses involve dedicated streams of M. Tech in Mechatronics Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, Water Resource Development and Management, and Data Analytics and Engineering. To this effect, candidates for admission to the first year of the B. Tech programme ought to secure a valid score in the national level entrance examination like JEE Main or a State Level Entrance Test like CEE.

Otherwise, the institute conducts its own entrance examination, the Royal Joint Entrance Examination (R-JEE). The selection process is normally followed by a personal interview. In the case of the M. Tech programs, it depends on the performance of the candidate in their previous qualifying examination, which is followed by a personal interview.
