Regional Institute of Management and Technology (RIMT) University Gobindgarh was established in 1998 by the Government of Punjab under Punjab Act No. 31 of 2015 & under section 2(f) of the UGC. It is recognised by UGC, BCI, AICTE, PCI, and COA. The Shri Om Parkash Bansal Educational and Social Welfare Trust established the university.
