Rayat Bahra University School of Polytechnic and Skill Development is located in Mohali, Punjab. The institute was set up in 2014 and is one of the recognised institutes in the region offering technical education and skill development. Sahauran, Tehsil Kharar, Mohali, Punjab hosts this institute and presents different diploma courses in engineering disciplines.

With a faculty of 10, the school mainly aims to deliver quality education in Civil Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Electronics and Communication Engineering streams. This strong network covers more than 200 nodes and guarantees internet access all over campus. The computing facilities are over 300 branded PC from HP, Wipro and IBM and high-end workstations and servers for specific purposes.

Being a key component of an academic process, the library provides round-the-clock service for research facilities and teaching activities. Spacious, well-ventilated, conditioned, well-lit with imported furniture and sophisticated teaching aids like an overhead projector, TV and VCD/ DVD make learning comfortable.

At present, the School of Polytechnic and Skill Development has six full-time diploma courses offered, which have a tenure of three years. As already noted, the programmes offered by these institutes consist of Diploma in Civil Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Electrical Engineering , Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Automobile Engineering.

All courses have an intake approved to only accommodate 30 students, making it 180 seats across all programmes. It also has a clear pragmatic vocational education orientation inherent in its course list, which cuts across the entire spectrum of engineering disciplines.
