Admissions in BE programmes are strictly merit-based. Scores in the Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination, combined with marks in Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics (Total 300 marks), make up the admission score. For several courses, MEC also accepts scores from the Gujarat Common Entrance Test, popularly known as GUJCET .
