Mechanised Infantry Regiment Centre, Ahmednagar

Mechanised Infantry Regiment Centre (MIRC) is one of the esteemed centres located in Ahmednagar, Maharashtra which was set up in the year 1979. This affiliated college, the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) approved college, is an institution which offers education in military technology.

MIRC located in a large 2183 ha land with 13 programmes of study offered at 3 different degree levels to accommodate total of 620 students. It offers postgraduate, undergraduate and doctorate programmes in specialised areas of combat technology, vehicle systems and communications for the defense and related industries- Diploma in Computer Applications etc.

Mechanised Infantry Regiment Centre has an extremely stepped up facility in order to complement and complement the learning exercise and general human development of the learners. The campus has an arrangement of hostels for male and female students to avail and to lead a comfortable stay on campus.

A rich library centre is set as a knowledge centre and best in class laboratories to build up the hands on experience of the students for variety of fields. It also has an auditorium, where seminars and other events are held, cafeteria for dining, enough health facilities with an attached health centre . For physical fitness and recreation, MIRC has specially equipped Gym, playing fields, and courts.

The allied facilities provided in campus includes modern IT necessary facilities for teaching and learning through digital platforms and research. The institute has courses of study mainly comprising of diploma and post graduate diploma, also it has an option of Master’s programme.

The learning is set up from 13 full courses following topics that cover areas like Combat Driving, Maintenance Engineering, Combat Armament and Weapon Technology, Combat Radio and Communication technologies among others.
