Mailam Engineering College, Villupuram also known as MEC is a private college which started its functioning in the year 1998 in the union of state Tamil Nadu.

The college currently has the following Academic Departments Sheet metal Technology Social Sciences and Management Engineering and Technology, Computer Applications, Computer Science and Engineering and Information Technology & Computer Applications, Electrical Engineering MEC occupies a 42 acrecampus with a total student enrolment of 2098 and members of faculty 219.
