Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanja Deo University or North Orissa University is state university situated in Baripada, Odisha which started in the year 1999. Situated in Sri Ram Chandra Vihar, Takatpur, the university spreads over an area of number of 98. 84 acres. It is affiliated to North Orissa University and recognised by NAAC,UGC & NCTE.

The university teaches and/or provides 616 credit bearing courses across 60 programmes of study, including sciences, humanities, and professional disciplines. Presently the universities total student enrolment stands at 3983 and a composite faculty of 45 teachers, thereby providing a multicultural academic experience. There are 7;0% male students and 30% female students and all the students are postgraduate students.

The university has diverse amenities to support its academic goals and objectives. Some of these are the hostels for both male and female students to help the students gain comfortable place to stay. The campus uses modern hardware facilities of IT security, Internet, and a set of software applications. Departments are served by laboratories so as to enable practical sessions to be made.

Some of the additional facilities are medical dispensary, canteen, bank, auditorium, gym, otherwise; all round facilities thus making the campus life more lively.
