Madurai Diraviyam Thayumanavar Hindu College (MDT Hindu College), founded in 1878, is a recognised university and is situated in Tirunelveli of Tamil Nadu. This affiliated college which is recognised by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and at present, is a college of repute and has a history which dates back to 1870s.

At present, located at an extensive 83 acres, MDT Hindu College provides a broad variety of 27 courses in 10 programmes. The college has a student population of 1,443 and a faculty population of 89, therefore the college has an ideal student-teacher ratio. The curriculum put in place by the institute offers quality education In different fields of learning across Arts, Science Technological and Commerce streams.

MDT Hindu College has established numerous facilities to supplement the learning process of students. The college library has in its stock more than sixty-four thousand four hundred and odd books, eighty thousand and odd electronic books, and several journals and boosts of a reading atmosphere.
