Established in 1876, Lokopriya Gopinath Bordoloi Regional Institute of Mental Health is one of the oldest institutes and a prestigious autonomous institute located in Tezpur, Assam. This specialised mental health institute has been approved by the National Medical Commission.

With a sprawling 5-acre campus, LGBRIMH has been the pioneer of psychiatric education and research for more than a century, offering 12 courses across 5 degree programmes focused on various aspects of mental health. Lokopriya Gopinath Bordoloi Regional Institute of Mental Health College has a large number of modern facilities that have been provided at LGBRIMH to assist in both academics and research endeavors.
