Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (KVASU) Wayanad was established in December 2010 by the Government of Kerala. Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University offers multiple specialisation courses at the four distinct levels. The courses are offered in various specialisations at undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels.

KVASU offers courses in the field of streams of management and business administration, sciences, arts, medicine and allied sciences, and others. The courses offeredare B. Sc , B. V. Sc, MS , M. V. Sc, PGD and PhD. Candidates should appear for the relevant entrance exam before applying for admissions. KVASU Wayanad accepts the NEET exam for the BVSc course.

The placement cell ensures that most of the students get placed in reputed organisations with good salary packages.
