JJ College of Arts and Science, Pudukkottai, is a self-governing institution affiliated with MCS and accredited by NAAC and AICTE. The college provides a large number of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral courses in a variety of disciplines. The admission process at JJ College is planned to choose eligible candidates on the basis of merit and entrance exams, as per the program.

The college normally starts its admission procedure for the academic session commencing in the months of August-September. For undergraduate courses, admission is mostly on merit basis considering the 10+2 qualifying examination marks. In postgraduate courses, both merit-based selection and entrance tests, especially for professional programs such as MBA and MCA, are followed.
