Jayalakshmi Institute of Technology popularly known as JIT is a self-financing institute located Dharmapuri, Tamilnadu was established in the year of 2008. Spread over a huge area of 14. 29 acres of area, JIT is a self financing affiliated college recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

It presents 14 study programmes in 3 levels, for the total student body of 1393, and 815 full-time students. Currently the faculty strength of JIT stands at 155, therefore the college offers a Small par student faculty ratio is an added feature of the JIT.

Jayalakshmi Institute of Technology has well equipped fully furnished laboratories such as the English Language Communication Lab developed to assist the rural students to speak English fluently. It consists of 9,000 sq. ft and has over 11,000 books that include text books, reference books and national as well as international journals.

Beneficial to students is a wireless campus with internet connectivity for all students such that they can connect and gain internet access at any place in the compound. The institute provides the complete package covering all the common undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes.
