Institute of Technology and Management Gorakhpur was established in July 2001. ITM Gorakhpur was established under the patronage of Shree Krishna Educational Society run by a group of socially oriented professionals and entrepreneurs. ITM Gorakhpur was approved by All India Council of Technical Education, Ministry of HRD, Government of India, New Delhi and Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi.

Institute of Technology and Management Gorakhpur offers admissions to various courses at the diploma, undergraduate, integrated and post graduate levels. These courses include diploma, D. Pharm , B. Tech, B. Pharm , BBA, BCA , B. Sc, BJMC, M. Tech , M. Pharm, MBA , MCA and BA LLB . Admissions are offered based on the scores obtained in entrance examinations.

Candidates should appear in JEE Main entrance examination if applying for B. Tech admissions, GPAT entrance examination if applying for M. Pharm admissions and CMAT entrance examination if applying for MBA admissions. Candidates applying for other courses should appear in the UPSEE entrance examination.
