The Institute of Dental Studies and Technologies, Modinagar, Uttar Pradesh, was established in 2001. Situated in a sprawling 27. 392-acre campus, IDST has emerged as the first institute in dental studies, running undergraduate and postgraduate courses. It is affiliated with Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, and the approval of the courses is from the Dental Council of India.

For admission to the BDS programme, candidates have to qualify in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test conducted every year. In the case of MDS courses, the candidature is decided based on their performance in the NEET MDS examination.
