Ideal Girls’ College is located in Akampat, Imphal, Manipur and it was established in the year 1970. Now Ideal Girls’ College is one among the well-known educational centres in the Manipur. This affiliated college, with a 7. 5 acre area, aim at offering quality education to young women only. The college has been accredited with NAAC which prove the college’s concern in maintaining standard quality education.

The college has 156 students in total and faculty members are 53 in number, therefore, the college affords each student a unique experience. Ideal Girls' College provides six undergraduate programmes . Ideal Girls’ College has a number of facilities that will supplement the normal learning of the students.

There is a well established girls’ hostel for students who live off campus, the running of the hostel is under the supervision of a Hostel Management Committee.
