HM College of Science and Technology, Manjeri

Being affiliated to the University of Calicut in Kerala, HM College of Science and Technology, Manjeri was set up in 2002. It provides all types of programmes including undergraduate and post graduate programmes from different fields. This college has total strength of students is 612 and total strength of faculty is 56 which make environment favourable for one and on click academic development.

The campus is established at Alukkal, PO, Mariyad, Manjeri and it focuses on 5 degree areas and 17 courses in Information Technology, Physics, Geography, Psychology, Commerce, etc. The college provides different facilities to enhance learning and development of the learners. The library has a stocks of books over 6000 and over fifty periodicals subscribed to by the college, stocked and indexed by DDC.

The institution keeps functional laboratories each of which is well equipped to meet University of Calicut standard so that the students learn practically what they learn theoretically. There are facilities for accommodation for female students in the college hostel with veg and non veg eating facilities.

In addition, the campus has installed IT related amenities, cafeteria, open air theater, and play areas for football, badminton, cricket, volley ball and basketball. Furthermore, for the transportation of the students the college provides this special services. This college presents 17 courses total in which students can enroll, namely undergraduate and postgraduate ones. The undergraduate programmes include B.

Sc and B. Com full-time courses and post graduate courses are MSW , M. Sc and M. Com . The number of all credits approved for offering all courses stands at 612 Credit with individual course credit capacity from 12 to 40. HM College of Science and Technology facilitates its own admission process for the Centre Admission Process (CAP) of University of Calicut for its undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

It also applies where the seats are management or merit seats. In a nutshell, to be considered for admission prospective students are supposed to register through the CAP system. The college also has an active alumni association also involved in social activities and also participates in the development of the institution through contributing newsletters as well as conducting social events.

Unfortunately, details about scholarships are scarce but several possibilities for funding must be provided by the college for talented learners.
