Gujarat Arts and Science College, popularly known as GASC, was established in the year of 1860 in the city of Ahmedabad, Gujarat. This is an affiliated, co-educational college with programmes ranging from the arts to the science stream. The college at present has accreditation by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and has proved its worth as a centre of learning.
The college has a 33-acre campus, a student enrolment of 3,540, and a faculty strength of 94. The college boasts excellent infrastructural facilities for a great learning experience for its students. GASC maintains a library with a total collection of over 80,000 books, of which over 30,000 are rare publications.
The total library is automated with SOUL software, and e-resources are being accessed through NLIST and INFLIBNET Centre. The institution provides hostel accommodation for female students. The college has pavilions built in the name of former Deputy Prime Minister Shri L. K. Advani for cricket and hockey.
