Government Polytechnic College, Bathinda

Government polytechnic College, Bathinda is one of the premier technical institution which impart technical education to the students established in 1985 in the State of Punjab, India. Set in a total of 22 acres of area, this affiliated college has been preparing the budding engineers for the future since almost four decades.

This institute being recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), is also delivering a comprehensive number of Diploma programmes for a variety of engineering branches. The college has a total student strength of 891 and boasts of a faculty strength of 57 to aid in its technical education and skill imprinting.

The college has the modern facilities to support its academic activities and these include; Modern library of the college has over 12405 books, out of which 2556 are reference books and the college has access to 9 journals as per the need of students.

For those aspiring to be accommodated the institute provides hostel for both male and female with a limited space of 174 for the male students and 90 for the female students. The campus also has equipped laboratory facilities, an event, and seminar hall, and the facility for parking cars.

It includes basketball court, handball court, hockey ground, badminton hall, table tennis hall, kabaddi court, kho-kho court, cricket ground and football ground as a part of its holistic development plan. Government Polytechnic College, Bathinda has an overall 17 courses offered and all the courses are Diploma Full-Time.

These are including Mechanical Engineering , Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering Civil Engineering, Production Engineering , Information Technology Electronics Communication Engineering, Architectural Assistantship and Pharmacy . There are also open direct entry opportunities in several discipline offered in the college.
