Government Degree College, Mancherial

Government Degree College, Mancherial (GDC Mancherial) is one of the most developed college in Mancherial, Telangana. This affiliated college was set up in 1967 and has been an educational institution for the public for more than fifty years. Situated on a vast area of 23 acres of land, GDC Mancherial has a qualitatively diversified programme in Undergraduate and Postgraduate level.

It is accredited to the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) an indication of quality in learning institutions. Currently, the college accommodates 595 students, and the faculty is made up of 18 members which gives an awaited student teacher ratio of 33:1 to enhance individual care and support. GDC Mancherial is proud to present well rounded education for its students.

The college has an adequate library facility stocked with books, journals and periodicals for students from all faculties. For practical purposes, the institution conducts the establishment of departmental laboratories that meet course needs.

Understanding the significance of technology as a key player in the 21st-century learning environment, the college has provided first-rate information technology resources in order that the students could familiarise themselves with the advanced trends in their disciplines. Outside class work and learning, GDC Mancherial promotes the overall development of the students.

Meaning, Government Degree College, Mancherial affords a total of 8 courses in 4 degree programmes to cover a wide area of interest. These include full time undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in a range of discipline. The B.

Com Computer Applications programme is quite famous, as it offers the maximum intake capacity of 120 students. Other courses include B. Sc Life Sciences, B. Sc Physical Sciences , and BA programmes the courses take 60 students each. Interestingly , GDC Mancherial also provides certain courses in Telugu medium that makes the higher education to all the students easier.
