GM Momin Women's College, Thane was established in 1989. The main aim of the GM Momin Women's College is to empower women students, especially of the socially backward classes. To be in tune with the changing times, a B. Sc (IT) course was introduced in 2001. The Post Graduate Centre for MA programmes was established in 2004 and PhD programmes in 2008.
