Usha Martin University Ranchi established in the year 2012 has a constituent college Faculty of Legal Studies Ranchi fulfilling the needs of legal education. Established at Narayansoso village near Angara Block Office, Ranchi; this institution has expanded its niches to qualify and train, the legal brains in the state of Jharkhand.

It comprises the BCI approved law programmes for the purpose of cultivating future paralegals and other legal professionals. Its core values of providing quality education and functional teaching facilities, Faculty of Legal Studies aspiring to produce professional and ethical Lawyers equipped with knowledge poised to handle the current dynamic society.

Accompanying the campus are a host of facilities that are intended to complement the needs of the learners. Core of these amenities is a well–lit library that contains books, magazines, newspapers, cassettes, videos, DVDs, printed materials, journals and other informative publications and electronic products.

Among such resources, students have access to a large variety of books and journals, databases, audio-visual materials, and cases to support their work . Usha Martin University also provides healthcare services in order to achieve physical fitness this facility provides for indoor and out door sport activities like volley ball Badminton.

Situated in the modern world the campus facilities provide optimum IT infrastructure along with the campus Wi-fi so that the student can avail the benefits of using present day technology. With a career in law in mind, the college is equipped with a Moot Court which enables students to get a feel of issues to do with court.

Also, there is transport provision that ensures that all students and stuff have easy and comfortable means of transport from different parts of the city. The Faculty of Legal Studies provides various legal courses keeping in mind the students’ various goals in the field of law. The institution has five unique offerings, of which four are on fully accredited programmes.

These include undergraduate, postgraduate as well as doctoral, offering in the field of law. The flagship programmes are the five-year integrated BBA LLB and the three-year LLB programmes for which the College takes 120 students each year. For the learners who would wish to pursue further legal education, the faculty provides one year LLM and two years LLM programmes.

Also for those scholars who would like to help in developing legal research and academia there is a doctoral programme in Law.
