Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vishwavidyalaya: Faculty of Agricultural Engineering Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh is one of the premier constituent college established in the year 1964. Housed in the geographic center of the country, this institution has been producing agriculture engineering manpower for almost six decades.

Currently, the college hosts 427 student population and 13 faculty members and teaches students at three degree levels. The institute offers 7 courses that offer specialisation in Agricultural Engineering, Farm Machinery and Power Engineering , Soil and Water Engineering and Process and Food Engineering.

According to department, the Faculty of Agricultural Engineering offers a Including full-time courses across different levels of higher education. The institute offers one Undergraduate programme (B.

Tech in Agricultural Engineering) , three Postgraduate programmes (M. Tech in Farm Machinery and Power Engineering, Soil and Water Engineering , Process and Food Engineering) and three doctoral level programmes in the same specialisations. The college offers the opportunity for student intakes for different courses and a total of 427 students for all the courses offered. The B.

Tech programme itself has a seating capacity of ninety nine students and each M. Tech programme respectively has fourteen students intake, the institute believes in quality education and personal contact. Therefore, the admission process of the Faculty of Agricultural Engineering is arranged in such a manner as to identify the best talents. While admissions to the B.

Tech programmes are done through online counseling to avoid rigmarole of forms and the like, the colleges participate from all corners of the country. While the M. Tech and Ph. D programmes require much more stringent admission procedures to be followed. There is a single test for admission which is followed by a list of merit which is prepared depending on the test results.

Students are then offered various Master’s and Doctoral programmes offered at RVSKVV and JNKVV depending on the performance obtained in the entrance examination and the number of seats offered for each discipline. This process facilitates the achievement of a method to enroll capable and passionate students in this great institution.
