Excel College of Pharmacy, Namakkal

Namakkal’s Excel College of Pharmacy is relatively new having been established in 2017, and focuses on the education field of pharmacy. Spread over a vast area of 27 acres, the college situated in Pallakapalayam, Sankari West Post, Komarapalayam, Namakkal District, Tamil Nadu. As ‘c’ category affiliated college is recognised under the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

It has now 314 total enrolment students and 15 total strength faculty members. Namakkal’s Excel College of Pharmacy has a modern infrastructure equipped with ultramodern facilities meant to support the learning needs of these students.

The library occupies a central position in the college and contains an extensive variety of books, national and international journals, and digital facility related to several pharmaceutical specialties. The University has 13 laboratories fully furnished with available instruments like Shimadzu Double Beam UV Visible Spectrophotometers, ATR FTIR, and HPLC Analytical systems.

Most of these facilities are very essential in enhancing practical sessions that are important especially in teaching pharmacy. It also has an IT infrastructure comprising a computer laboratory that has greater than 30 Internet connected systems, which enables the students update steadily in the advanced IT infrastructure. Excel College of Pharmacy is present with a single course and it is the B.

Pharm course having 100 intake capacity. This programme is offered for four years as an undergraduate course that aims at producing graduates in pharmaceutical sciences to fit different sectors of the pharmacy profession.
