It is one of the premature technical institutions of the state, located at Kalliasseri in Kannur district which begins its journey in the academic year 1997-98 as a tribute to the former chief minister of Kerala, K. M. This affiliated college, recognised by AICTE a statutory body of India the All India Council for Technical Education provides courses in diploma degree in various disciplines of engineering.
