EGS Pillay College of Pharmacy situated at Nagapattinam was started in the year 2000, having an aim to provide quality education in the field of pharmacy in Tamil Nadu, India. On Nagore Road across from the Collector’s Office, this affiliated college has managed to gain PCI recognition. It occupies a 5 acres area with conducive environment for teaching and learning as well as research.

The college offers a total of six courses, in the four levels of degrees with a total of 439 students enrolment with variety pharmacy programmes offered. To supplement the teachings, the EGS Pillay College of Pharmacy has numerous facilities suitable for student’s academic and student related activities.

The library which holds an important role in learning resources contains more than 10000 books, 100 national & international subscribed journals, and 500 e-books. A vast reading hall with 150 seating capacity is prominently located within the building to offer appropriate ambiance for study.

The seriousness of the institution towards technology is evidenced by the available computer laboratory that contains 60 systems with BB connections. Consequently, EGS Pillay College of Pharmacy has a wide list of pharmacy programmes to meet the different needs of a pharmacy graduate in terms of career path.

The institution offers 6 full time programmes among which are undergraduate, postgraduate as well as doctoral programmes. The course providing include B. Pharma , D. Pharma, Pharm. D , and M. Pharma with the specialities in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Analysis and Pharmacology.
