Dr. BRKR Government Ayurved Medical College, Hyderabad, was established in the year 1935 and is one of the prime institutions delivering education in Ayurveda. Situated in Erragadda, Hyderabad, it is an affiliated college recognised by the Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM). It has an area of 4. 6 acres and admits students of both sexes.
The college has 364 students and the faculty offer consists of 58 employees which give college a good study environment. Dr. BRKR Government Ayurved Medical College has many equipped infrastructure for the teaching-learning process and to meet other students’ needs. In the college, there are facilities for boys and girls hostel.

The institution offers 8 full-time courses, out of which one is undergraduate degree, Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medical Science (BAMS) and other 7 courses are postgraduate degree, Master of Surgery (MS) and Doctor of Medicine (MD) specialisations.
The first degree course in Ayurveda is the Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) course which has the maximum capability of 50. While there are unique courses of study for postgraduates which include MD Kayachikitsa, MD Dravyaguna, MD Ayurved Samhita and Siddhanta provide further academic and research competitiveness in specific field of Ayurveda.
