Dr. BR Ambedkar College of Education, Gaya, was established in the year 2008 as an affiliated college with the aim to shape the future of many aspiring educationalists. The institution is located in Bodh Gaya, Bihar, sprawled over a compact area of 0. 75 acres with a conducive learning atmosphere. This institution has been approved by NCTE and its programmes thus adhere to the national benchmark of teacher education.

With a total enrolment of 426, the faculty strength is 2, making the educational experience more personalized. There are two specialized degrees offered in this college of education, Dr. BR Ambedkar, that caters to different aspects of teacher training and development. There exist several facilities which further enrich the student's learning experience in this college.

The classrooms are well equipped with comfortable seating, adequate lighting, and good quality boards. The library is supported by more than 5000 books, 16 journals, and 8 sets of encyclopedias, thus complemented by spacious and well-maintained reading halls. Both the science and language laboratories are properly maintained and also fully equipped to offer help for practical learning.

To make the student teachers abreast of modern teaching techniques, the Educational Technology Lab has been equipped with state-of-the-art aids like overhead projectors, LCD projectors, and laptops. The school is also equipped with sporting facilities, a gym, and a canteen to help in the holistic development of a child.

The institution also provides transportation services for easy accessibility to the institution by students. Dr. BR Ambedkar College of Education runs two regular courses on its campus: Bachelor of Education and Diploma in Elementary Education. The sanctioned intake for the B. Ed course is 200, and for D. El. Ed, it is 100.

The college adheres to the admission policies of the State Government of Bihar and the affiliated University. Admission to the B. Ed. course is based on the selection process, which may be supplemented by additional criteria as stipulated by the University. The admission to the D. El. Ed. course is also done on a merit basis, as per the policy of the state government/UT administration.
