Is this page only for JoSAA-counselled institutes?

No. It includes every institute with an engineering programme in our directory — JoSAA-admitted institutes (IITs/NITs/IIITs/GFTIs) as well as institutes reached through their own entrance exam or state counselling. The admission pathway is labelled per institute where we have it.

Why is engineering the largest section of Knwdle?

Our directory started from the JoSAA dataset and NIRF's Engineering ranking category, so engineering institutes have the deepest, longest-running coverage — more NIRF-ranked entries and more JoSAA cutoff rows than any other discipline page.

Can I check my admission chances here?

This page lists and ranks institutes; for a rank-based chance estimate, use the College Predictor, which reads the same JoSAA cutoff data linked from each institute profile.

Do you show placement packages for engineering colleges?

No — we show NIRF's Graduation Outcomes (GO) sub-score where published instead of self-reported placement figures, for the same reason we exclude them everywhere else on Knwdle.
