Devendrar College of Physiotherapy, Tirunelveli

Devendrar College of Physiotherapy is an affiliated college which was started in the year 1998, in the Tirunelveli-Tamil Nadu. This institution is located on a large area of land of 65 acres; the faculty is focused on physiotherapy. It has a total of one hundred and sixty-three students enrolled in the college the college is fortunate to have fourteen hardworking faculty members.

The colleges under Devendrar offers only one undergraduate course, namely Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) which is a full time course that takes four years to complete. It has large sports complex with all the basic amenities necessary for student and faculty athletic activities.

A sumptuous place to find books, journal and thousand volumes of books, the college library also subscribes about number of national and international journals. It plays the role of an academic and research guide for all students and members of the academic staff.

Established in 1993, Devendrar College of Physiotherapy presently is affiliated only to the course of Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) which is a full time course. This is a four-year course with an approved number of enrolment of 50 students correspondingly indicating that the college aims at maintaining a better student enrolment faculty ratio for proper student –teacher interaction.

The programme structure BPT is aimed at presenting students with the core concepts of physiotherapy, both theoretical and functional. Concerning the admission procedures in Devendrar college of physiotherapy, the whole admission process for this course has been made to be smooth and equitable.

The college aims at offering quality education in physiotherapy so as to produce competent graduates to support and enhance the healthcare system of the country.
