The constituent college was set up in the year 2010 at Chennai, Tamil Nadu, and is known as Crescent School of Architecture, popularly abbreviated as CSA. As the name suggests, this is a prestigious college to train architects and designers of the future with sound academic and hands-on experience. CSA has become one of the pioneers in architectural education, as approved by the Council of Architecture.

The college has a team of 40 highly qualified professionals and qualified teachers to provide the desired student-teacher ratio. CSA offers three full-time programmes: The B. Arch, M. Arch, and B. Des have an enrolment capacity of 140 students spread across the two courses. It has a co-educational policy on campus, which makes it possible for young architects and designers to learn in a mixed group.
