COETA Akola was established in 1983 under the aegis of the Shri Shivaji Education Society. The College of Engineering and Technology Akola (COETA Akola) is a premier institution in Maharashtra dedicated to engineering and architectural education. Admission to COETA Akola is primarily based on academic merit. For undergraduate programmes, candidates must have completed HSC or an equivalent qualification and have valid scores in entrance examinations such as JEE Main, MHT-CET, or NATA for B. Arch. For postgraduate programmes like M. E. and M.
Tech, selection is based on the marks obtained in the GATE entrance examination and the percentage of marks in the UG degree.
