The College of Basic Science and Humanities is one of the few affiliated constituent college of the Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology official located at Bhubaneswar, Odisha. This centre of learning was founded in 1964 and for almost six decades has offered education in the basic sciences.

This college is known to have a talented professional base of the faculty members which is 43; the college offers 21 courses at 4 levels including undergraduate, postgraduate, Doctoral, and Bachelor’s degrees.

It also has a health center in the main campus offering OPD regular, pathology, laboratory and ambulance round the clock, for the benefits of students and staff. College of Basic Science and Humanities has an overall academic programme spread of 21 courses .
Among them, eighty-eight are offered at the undergraduate level and completed in full-time programmes, seventy-seven in postgraduate programmes, and sixty-six in doctoral programmes. B. Sc. Honours programmes are available in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Botany, and Zoology, while self-financed programs are also available in the Biotechnology, Computer Science, Microbiology Streams.
