College of Applied Science, Chelakkara

The College of Applied Science Chelakkara (CAS Chelakkara) came into existence in the year 2008, located in the beautiful town Chelakkara of Kerala. As an affiliated college, this college occupies a small 5 acre land space with comprehensive programmes to produce techno savvy professionals of tomorrow. CAS Chelakkara currently has 518 students and a dedicated faculty of teacher comprising of 27 members in total.

The college teaches 6 courses in 5 degree programmes, major in electronics, computer science, commerce, etc. , to adapt to the industry’s requirements. College of Applied Science Chelakkara has laid down excellent facilities that could make the understanding of the students a much simpler task.

College library is well stocked with about 2000 books on computer science, electronics commerce, Electronics civil, and commerce with subscription of eight journals and five magazines. The automation achieved through KOHA software and move towards digitization are evidences of the library being ready to adopt the modern technology.

The information technology facilities in the college are also mammoth including a large air-conditioned computer laboratory containing more than One Hundred computer system with latest and high caliber hardware and software. Students work with appropriated versions of contemporary operating systems and multimedia kits which stimulate inventiveness.

The college provides all level courses starting from undergraduate to post graduate level courses. The under graduate programmes for the students include B. Sc Electronics , B. Sc Computer Science, B. Com Computer Applications and BCA and the post graduate courses include M. Com and M. Sc Electronics.

All the courses are full-time courses so that none of the student will get a distracted education in the selected field of study. Admission at this learning institution is majorly on merit to provide chances to aspiring and eligible students to achieve their dreams.

Various facilities in the college state the fact that the college is committed to providing everyone through the comprehensive developmental programmes and these are the Laboratories for Electronics and Computer science, Play grounds and Sports fields, and Auditorium for events, seminars etc.

Also, the Training and Placement Cell especially instituted at CAS Chelakkara ensures that the gap between the theoretical knowledge imparted at the institute and the practice required in industrial world is minimized and the students configured for placements.
