The varsity recognises students' talent. It offers numerous scholarships to its students as a reward for their dedication and hard work . CMR University scholarships are awarded on the basis of students' performance in academics and sports. The university also offers scholarships to students from the north east region, students with a defence background, students from Anadaman and Nicobar islands etc.

The varsity also has course specific scholarships and special scholarships for cricketers. As per scholarship policy of the university, CMR University scholarships are offered on an annual basis. CMRU also provided national level scholarships and financial aid to students. All the decisions regarding the scholarships are taken by the CMR University scholarship committee.
