One of the best institutes for training future teachers was established in the form of a Central Women's College of Education, Lucknow, in 2004. This women-only college, situated in Sector-8, Rajni Khand, Sharda Nagar Yojna, Lucknow, is affiliated and permitted by the National Council for Teacher Education, New Delhi. There are four specialised courses in education, out of which three are degree programmes.

This institute has a strength of 9 as faculty, and it aims at providing good education in teacher training.
