BIT Bhubaneswar was set up in 2008, is a premier institution with a campus in the middle of the city of Bhubaneswar in the state of Odisha. This is an affiliated college which has been recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and has been preparing the future engineer for more than ten years. BIT is a 20 acre campus which provides a comfortable atmosphere for young and adult learners.

In the current academic session, the institute admits 763 students in total, and it has 70 faculty members, which helps maintain an ideal students-faculty ratio, leading to imageries learning. BIT students can access almost all the necessary and state of the art facilities to promote their academic achievement and self development.

The academic collection includes a number of books, periodicals and journals which are located in the central library in addition to an electronic library with internet connectivity. This virtual center helps students get acquainted with online classes in universities across the globe whereby expanding their educational options.

Over the next few years BIT aims to subscribe IEEE and ACM digital libraries thus expanding its sources of academic literature. Computer laboratories in the campus are modern and accessible via Gigabit Ethernet to allow students utilise modern technology during their studies and projects.
